CLI login
Learn the login command, authentication, and how to handle login failures.
The CLI uses the same account system as the desktop app. After login, your plan, Credits, and permissions sync automatically.
If login fails, first check if account credentials are correct, or log in via the desktop app first before using the CLI.
Login command
Run imd login in the terminal to start the login flow. The CLI will open a browser or ask you to enter credentials.
If your browser is already logged into IMD, the CLI may automatically use that session.
Authentication
The CLI authenticates through the IMD server. After successful authentication, your session is saved locally.
If using multi-factor authentication, make sure you have completed authentication setup in the desktop app or web version.
Login failures
If login fails, check if you are using the correct account. Try accessing the IMD website in a browser to confirm the account is available.
If multiple login attempts fail, you may need to reset your password or contact support.
