Review cleaning results

Learn how to compare outputs, verify row counts, and check key fields.

After executing a cleaning plan, review the results to confirm data was correctly modified. Review includes comparing output with the original data, checking row counts, and verifying key fields.

Do not treat a successful run as automatic approval. You remain responsible for validating whether the output is analytically correct.

Compare output

Compare the cleaned result with the original data table. Check which rows and fields were modified and whether the changes match expectations.

Use History to view previous table versions for comparison.

Verify row count

Confirm the cleaned row count matches expectations. If the plan includes deleting duplicate rows or filtering operations, the row count should decrease accordingly.

If the row count decreases or increases abnormally, check whether the relevant steps in the plan are correct.

Check key fields

Check whether the key fields used in your analysis are correct. Confirm no unexpected value changes or missing values.

If key field values were accidentally modified, use History to restore the original values for those fields.
