What is IMD
Learn what IMD is, when to use it, and what uses your account.
IMD is a desktop workspace for preparing data, asking AI about that data, cleaning datasets, and producing reports.
Use these docs as a practical manual. Start with installation and your first project, then move through inspecting data, cleaning it, working with AI, exporting results, and understanding files, accounts, credits, CLI, and common problems.
When to use IMD
IMD stands for Interactive Data Manager. It helps you prepare data more efficiently before analysis, reporting, or sharing.
Your project files stay in your project folder. Account, credits, model access, and selected AI request context may use IMD services so the web, desktop app, and CLI can share the same account system.
What it keeps local
Imported table files stay in the project folder. Cleaning updates the active table source file in place and records table versions in History; report workflows write generated files to project output folders such as reports/ when those workflows are used.
What uses your account
Account, credits, model access, and selected AI request context may use IMD services so the web, desktop app, and CLI can share the same account system.
