Download and install IMD

Download from the IMD website, install on your operating system, and verify the installation.

This page is the shortest path from a fresh install to a usable workspace. It assumes you are opening IMD for the first time and want to understand what to do next.

By the end, you should have a project folder, at least one imported dataset, and a clear next action: inspect the table, ask AI a specific question, or prepare a cleaning plan.

Download from the website

Download the desktop installer from the IMD website and use the package available for your operating system. On macOS, install the app into Applications and open it from there.

If your operating system is not listed on the download page, do not assume another package will work. Use the supported installer shown by the website.

Install on macOS

On macOS, install the app into Applications and open it from there. After opening, follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.

If the system blocks an app downloaded from the internet, open System Settings > Privacy & Security, find the IMD app, and click Open Anyway.

Install on Windows

Run the Windows installer and follow the installation wizard. After installation, find IMD in your Start menu or desktop.

If installation fails, check whether your Windows version meets the requirements and whether you have sufficient disk space.

Verify install

After installing, open IMD and confirm the app launches without errors. If the app opens slowly, check disk space and whether another process is interfering.

If the app will not open, confirm the installed app matches your operating system and architecture. On macOS, check whether the system blocked an app downloaded from the internet.
