App won't open

Learn how to restart the app, check system requirements, and reinstall.

If IMD won't open, try restarting the app first. If the problem persists, you may need to check system requirements or reinstall.

Before reinstalling, make sure the downloaded installer matches your operating system and architecture.

Restart the app

Fully quit the app and reopen it. On macOS, use Command+Option+Escape to force quit, then restart.

If the app freezes on startup, wait a few seconds to see if it continues.

Check system

Confirm your operating system meets IMD's minimum requirements. Check that available disk space and memory are sufficient.

If system resources are low, close other apps to free up resources and try again.

Reinstall the app

If it still won't open after restarting and checking the system, uninstall and reinstall IMD.

Make sure you downloaded the correct installer from the IMD website. On macOS, if the system blocks the downloaded app, open system settings to allow it to run.
