Project location
Learn how to find projects, move projects, and rename projects.
The project folder is the storage location for all your work and outputs. Understanding how to manage project locations helps keep work organized.
If the project folder is moved or renamed, IMD may show a file missing alert.
Find projects
Find project folders in the project list or file system. The project name defaults to the name you specified when creating it.
If you cannot find a project, use the file search function on your computer to search for the project folder name.
Move projects
If you need to move the project folder to a new location, use the move project function in IMD.
After moving, ensure the new location has appropriate access permissions.
Rename projects
Renaming a project in IMD also renames the project folder. Ensure the new name is still clear and easy to identify.
After renaming, if other tools reference the old path, you may need to update the references.
